Cult Nails: Coco’s Untamed Collection

When you were thirteen, wouldn’t you have loved to create your own nail polish collection? That’s what I have to show you today and it isn’t just kids’ play. Maria, owner of Cult Nails, has a daughter, Coco, who will be turning thirteen on 7/11. Her Mom gave her the opportunity to create her own collection of polishes; creating the colors and the names. Let me show you that Maria has someone who is going to, some day, claim the Cult Nails dynasty.

At the end of my post, I’ll give details on getting yours and getting in on the BEST pre-sale price.

There are 5 fab colors in this collection. Here is ‘Spontaneous’…

‘Spontaneous’ is a plum purple with purple and magenta micro glitter. The color is outrageously awesome. I have 3 coats on and Lumos as a top coat. I had a tough time with ‘Spontaneous’ looking easy on me. It was thicker than I’m used to for Cult Nails polish. I’m not very patient, so this one will need yours.

And, this is ‘Annalicious’…

‘Annalicious’ is an explosion of brilliant red that has taken on more gold and red glitter than any I have ever seen. I can’t think of a more fitting summer red than ‘Annalicious’. Again, three coats that where more like what I’m used to, and the top coat of Seche Vite.

Yes, we have a pink…

You better like pink if you get ‘Untamed’. And ‘Untamed’ can be just the polish that will convert you to being a lover of pink. It’s hard to spot from my photos, but this Barbie-esque pink comes into its own with a wee bit of iridescent micro glitter. And, that glitter creates a vast array of colors embedded into this pink jelly. It’s not what you expect and that’s why it’s ‘Untamed’.

Ready for a green? If not, ‘Deal With It’…

It’s pouring down rain on this day and how appropriate for a polish named ‘Deal With It’.

‘Deal With It’ is a green that reminds me of a brand, new leaf in the springtime. It is so bright and fresh. The yellowish shimmer, in ‘Deal With It’, throws a chartreuse color. This one is almost, if not totally, a squishy jelly. I have on three coats, where I could have used one more to be completely opaque. I topped this one off with Lumos top coat.

Last, I have the polish that is sure to be the runaway bestseller…

If you do not like ‘I Got Distracted’, we can’t be friends. This holographic micro-glitter-ized  black polish is aptly named. Maria says that this phrase is Coco’s ‘go to’ excuse. When you see this one in person, you will instantly be indoctrinated into the cult of ‘I Got Distracted.’ Unlike ‘Spontaneous’, this one isn’t as thick and was easy to build. I have three coats on here and I didn’t put on a top coat because I wanted to show you that it is almost a matte.

Then I did put on a top coat called ‘Oh So Wet’ Clear Ice Quick Dry Top Coat…

Yes, it is hard to see a difference. Side by side, the top coat does give it a shinier look. However, ‘I Got Distracted’ is a top coat hungry vixen. Doesn’t matter, however. It is beyond gorgeous without. I mean, folks! It’s a holographic!!! There are some some slightly larger pieces of glitter that’s green and, that’s just bait to draw you into the look.
