elf: Disney Princess Belle Eye Shadow Palette

A couple of months ago, Walgreen’s presented more Disney princess makeup and accessories. I have continued to collect the makeup story books and, purchasing this one was a given, as well…

This palette is by elf and it celebrates Belle from the Beauty and the Beast movie.

This is quite the neutral palette. But, there are enough shades to create a light, neutral look all the way into a smoldering, smoky eye…

I think swatching makeup is the thing I love most about blogging…

I did use a swab for the swatching over a light application of eye shadow primer. I found all the shadows to really ‘pop’ with the primer. This palette is from elf so, there is a bit of fall-out but, they didn’t crumble away and, the pay out makes it worthwhile. In my opinion!

You can’t get more simple with these directions…

For days when I want a close to no makeup look, these are some of the best colors to use…

If I remember correctly, I got this for around $5. What do you think? Are these not great Summer to Fall transition shades?

  • Justina

This is such a lovely palette, and the price is unbeatable!

    • I was happy that none of them were chalky. elf has done pretty well lately.

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

Great shades! I probably would not have considered buying one of the Disney palettes without reading a positive review like this.

    • I’m a real sucker for these. I have a ‘book shelf’ of the Villains and Princesses makeup books.

  • Great palette! The colors really remind of of Belle 🙂

    • I have never seen the movie as I don’t care for cartoons, but it’s nice to know that those shades to favor Belle.

  • The look you created is definitely reminiscent of Belle!

  • These shadows are perfect with your titian hair.

    • I’m not titian anymore. Alas, that color faded as quickly as the last red lights at sunset. I’m more of a reddish-brown now. Damn, gray roots!!!

      • Red is a hassle to maintain and I feel you on the grey. lol

  • I love this, and you look fabulous! I always enjoy palettes from ELF they have a surprise here and there for me still yet hehe

    • I have enjoyed the Disney Princess and Villain themed makeup they have had over the past few years. The ones in the books are very nice. I was happy with all of the shades in this Belle palette.

  • Very nice shades.

    • I liked them on my eyes more than I thought I would.

I just laughed because I finished an article tonight and said how much I hate swatching. I should hire you to be my swatcher. I’ve never seen any of these palettes at Walgreens. I think they hide them when I walk through the door.

    • Hee hee! Swatches are the easiest part of blogging, in my opinion. Your photo skills make me envious, though.

  • Lisa Marie Heath

    Perfect shades on you!

  • FabZilla_Kath

I’m with Marcia, swatching is my least fave part 🙂

    • But I have always liked seeing your swatches.

  • I found a couple of the ‘Dream’ books on clearance at Walgreens, but I’ve never seen these palettes! I love golds and greens. Great find.

    • What are the Dream books? This is, as far as I know, the first time they have done a palette like this with any Princesses. However, they make soooo many different items each time, I have a hard time keeping up.

  • What a cute palette! The closest Walgreen’s to me never gets these.

    • That isn’t fair! Have you asked them to order these things? I’d be a pest. LOL

  • Why does Belle have to be so dang pretty?? Nice palette.

    • I am having fun creating EOTDs without using pinks and purples, for a change.

  • Mai

    The palette looks super cute!

  • I love the packaging!
