When I fly or am riding on a long drive, I have to have a book or, better yet, a magazine. The  Color Persist Long-Wear lipstick line is quite different than regular lippies. This one has tons of hydrating properties. Having moved to a much drier climate, I am attempting to up my game at staying hydrated. I am particularly noticing it with my lips. Color Persist seems to deliver. This is very moisturizing. Now, onto the color. I found ‘Infinite Mauve’ to be interesting…

Prestige’s website says that this lipstick contains ‘Hyaluronic Acid and Radvon Oil [that will] encourage collagen production and keep lips supple and firm.’ Yes, I am all for keeping my lips plump! And, a surprise is how the shade works on me…

On the right side of this photo, I have applied ‘Infinite Mauve’. On the left side, my bare lips. What is this magic? This shade is practically the same as my own lips. I found it was strangely amusing. However, I want the hydrating qualities to enhance my entire mouth…

So, after I got done drooling over a spread of sparkle, I did create a look…

This isn’t foiled, I used a primer. But, this light does not.a.thing for the loveliness of these shadows. These shades play so well together. I had no problem blending them. So, whether you like a hint of sparkle or, you are ready to dazzle the masses, Crush Cosmetics can run your gambit.

I have been using eye creams for at least 20 years. And I have tried a lot of different ones in those 2 decades. So, when I can say that this is a fantastic eye cream, I’m not kidding around!…

Keihl’s packaging theme is like an old-time apothecary. I’m very intrigued by that. And, at the same time drawn to the science of it. It isn’t necessary to google information on Rosa Artica either. It’s right on the box…

So, this is what Keihl’s claims for this product but, what are the ingredients? That’s what I want to know!…

Well, now I will need to do some googling because I really don’t know what all of these ingredients are. However, I do recommend that if you have sensitive skin, you give these ingredients a go-over. I have fairly behaving skin so I went ahead and tried it out…

I found Rosa Arctica Eye Cream to be one of the richest and creamiest eye creams I have ever used. This made the skin around my eyes very soft and smoothed out, instantly, the fine lines around the outside of my eye area. I have used Kiehl’s for over 4 months. Even with moving to a much drier climate, my eye area continues to feel hydrated, soft and smooth. I have experienced no negative results from using this eye cream.

I’m so confident that Rosa Arctica Eye Cream is perfect for my skin that I can show you a photo of my eye after 4 months of using this product…

I do have on eye makeup; mascara, pencil liner and shadow. However, I don’t have any other makeup on my skin. I do have a disclaimer, however. That prominent line, directly under my eye, is a scar from reconstructive surgery I had after a car accident. It is a 30 year old scar and it was directly under my lashes back then. But, as you can see, that is really the only deep line I have. So, for a 51 year old face, this month, I think Kiehl’s is a winner for this face!

Pink and glitter sprinkles…yes, please!

‘So Fierce’ is a pink base and lots of pastel hex glitter. Very girly-girl.

It does have a slight bit of texture but, I don’t feel that it is as much as the photos convey. This is just 2 coats and it is still somewhat translucent. I did 2 coats as I didn’t want to make the appearance look too thick.

Currently, I am staying with my brother, my sister-in-law and niece until I find a place of my own. In the meantime, I am unable to polish my nails, wear perfume or fragrance lotions because of my brother’s fragrance sensitivity. So, I haven’t been able to change my polish as often as I have in the past. I wore this one for about a week and I didn’t mind at all. It’s just that pretty.

The brow palette is simple but Anastasia, as the leading authority of brows, keeps it easy to groom them…

The first color is a waxy brown with a powder color next to it. And the precision tweezers, along with the dual-end brow brush and separator, mean you don’t have to go out with unruly brows.

Even though the two shades in the palette look different, they swatch very similar…

I used both on my brows and the color works perfectly for me…

The shadow palette is just as sleek and streamlined as the brow palette. These shades easily mix and match…

These shades are powdery smooth. I used the provided brush, which does have two different types of bristles on each end. The palette got a bit of fall out when I loaded my brush but ,I didn’t get any on my face when I applied it.

I used a light touch to swatch but, as you can imagine, these shades can build to make a stronger, bolder look. I kept it simple and neutral using them all…

Next, I finished the look with an Ulta brown eyeliner pencil and Milani’s Runway Lashes mascara…

In comparison to other high-end palettes, Anastasia Beverly Hills keeps her prices reasonable…

For $36, the Bold and Beautiful Kit gives you a large variety of looks for an affordable price. This is the type of product I like to use when I need to have a neutral look, whether I’m meeting a client or just running errands for the day. These products were provided to me for my honest review. These are my own opinions.

Merry Mistletoe was a very soft fragrance; not bold at all. I found Sparkling Icicles to be the same way. But I enjoyed it. After I had burned these to the end, I set them on the floor by my bookcase. I see how dusty that place is!!

I actually only had one Merry Mistletoe. It got another photo op here. And I loved all of these too. My house had the fragrance of Christmas, if nothing else.

Then, I used up quite a bit of hair products…

Love me some Pantene! I stocked up, big time, when these there 75% at CVS almost 2 years ago. It was worth it. I got the Rock Your Hair hairspray this year at Premiere Orlando. It’s an awesome hairspray without being overly stiff. I have seen this line off and on at Ross Dress For Less. If I find it again, I will repurchase it.

The next two from Macadamia Natural Oil surprised me. I am just sort of OK on the hairspray. It only had a mild hold, it did smell good and my hair didn’t feel dried out from using it. However, it is rather expensive at around $23. And the cleansing conditioner, at almost $40, was a total waste, in my opinion. I didn’t get the soft hair I usually get when I use the leave-in oil treatments by Macadamia Natural Oil. And, this can was a hold down pump to dispense. It didn’t hold a lot of product. I won’t be repurchasing either of these two.

There wasn’t much in the way of makeup…

Nailene’s Miracle Worker was sent to me for review. I loved it! But now, I can’t find anywhere to repurchase it! My nails are naturally thin and this treatment was one of the best I have ever used. The Ardell false eyelashes were just plum used up. These are my favorite stye too. They became too ragged to wear anymore. I’m on the lookout to replace this style. The Avon product is a cream concealer. I ran across this de-stashing my old stuff. I don’t think they make this anymore, as I have had this since the ’90′s. As you can tell, that green concealer hid a lot of red spots/areas on my face. I liked the consistency because it stayed put, period! Since I can’t truly remember how long I’ve had this, I am throwing it out.

The Lush Lip Scrub was good. I got one of those little desposible test spatulas to take out a bit of the product. Then, I took that little scoop of product into the shower and used it there. It was a lot less messy that way. As much as I loved this product, I feel I can find something just as good for half the price. I feel Lush’s prices to be way out of line for what they deliver. I found a lip scrub that has a lip balm in the cap by Victoria’s Secret for half the Lush price. If you don’t worry about money, this Lip Scrub is all that.

Last is Cellnique Renewal Serum. I reviewed this, initially, here. I loved it then and I love it even more now. This was a wonderful product to use. I used it both for my day and night time ritual. This, along with the Reversal Platinum Cream, are a top favorite skincare line for me. If I did not have other skincare products to review, these two are difinitely a set I would use continually. I’m sad to see this used up. And, just this week, I used up the Reversal Platinum Cream. Boo hoo.

Anything here that you have tried and liked?

‘Black Plum’ is really dark. As in goth dark. As much as I’m mesmerized by the deep, velvety burgundy shade, I knew it wasn’t going to look anything but garish on me.

I couldn’t help but swatch it though. And when I did, I just by chance, took my finger and swiped the tube and then swatched it on my hand next to the first swatch…

I cannot tell you why I did that. But, ‘Black Plum’ was looking more plum than black with a finger swatch. Usually, I will apply my lipsticks directly on my lips from the tube. I only use a brush when the product is in a palette. When I was training to be a makeup artist in the late ’80′s, we were taught to not use our fingers but always use clean sponges and brushes. It was the decade of AIDS and little was still known about the disease. So, we were taught to apply makeup without ever touching the skin.

Well, it’s my finger and my lips and my lipstick so, why not try it?…

‘Black Plum’ then looked about the same color as my own lips, just 3 or so shades darker. There’s nothing garish about this lipstick at all! This Smashbox lippie is very creamy to apply and lasts better than 4 hours this way. And, I still have the option to use it directly from the tube, blotting it if I wish or, using a lip brush. But, for now, I like applying it with my finger…
