Forever 21: Creamy Splatter Eyeshadows

It has been several months since I have been to Forever 21. My current client is not in malls, just Walmart and grocery stores. So, no mall work. Boooo! So, I don’t get to visit many of the stores that I used to and, Forever 21 is one of those. Luckily, the mall that is close to me (not counting an outlet mall in the city I live in) does have a Forever 21. I’m so due for a shopping day there. Maybe this weekend.

Anyway, during one of my past visits, I got this colorful palette of cream shadows…

Mega swatch day 010 Mega swatch day 016 Mega swatch day 012I rarely use cream shadows because almost all shadows, and especially cream ones, crease like crazy on me. However, the cool splatter, speckle effects gave way to any excuses I came up with to not buy them…

Mega swatch day 036 Mega swatch day 035 Mega swatch day 034 Mega swatch day 033 Mega swatch day 032 Mega swatch day 031I am SO sorry I waited so long to swatch these. I love the colors! I swatched the four largest circles first…

Mega swatch day 041Here are the 7 smaller circles…

Mega swatch day 079 Mega swatch day 075I wore that orange and slate gray the ever next day!!!

Here’s what was fun; look at the circles after they have been swatched…

Mega swatch day 083 Mega swatch day 082 Mega swatch day 081 Mega swatch day 074Not a one of them turned out exactly like I thought it would. I gave the two shades I mentioned above a try. I wasn’t too hopeful though but, I was loving how it went on so easily. I used Ofra’s eye primer, which happens to be the best performing primer for me at the moment, and made a stunning look. Nope, I didn’t snap a photo. By the time I remember, I’m already driving to work. But, mark my words, I got 5 hours of staying power with that look. I didn’t put the creams on lightly either. It was a very bold orange and gray blend.

My lesson is don’t wait so dang long before I swatch new products! Well, a lot of the posts I have coming up are just like this Forever 21 cream palette; I have had them for way too long and now I’m sorry I didn’t break into them earlier.

Plus, I do owe you an EOTD look with these creams.

Have you seen these? What cream shadow is your favorite?

Wish I could have seen the look on you! The swatches look really cool, though! Too bad the shadows aren’t speckled all the way through.. would be tempting to get 2 of them – one to use, and one to look at! lol

    • I am eager to see what the shades will look like once I get past the speckles. I think the shades are pretty enough that they will still hold a sheen.

  • Wow, these look amazing! I would have been exactly the same and not been able to resist the splatter pattern! The colours look really nice too, even though the splatter disappeared. I really like the Revlon Colorstay smokey shadow sticks, they are smooth and because they are a stick they are really easy to apply, they don’t seem to crease on me either which is always nice!

    • Oh to have no shadow creasing…sigh. I haven’t tried the Colorstay sticks. You have me intrigued now.

  • I love these, it would be fun you could use them for so many different looks! Thanks for sharing

    • Lots and lots of looks. I used just two and that was cool. But, someone that is an expert, they would blow away the competition. šŸ™‚

These cream shadows look amazing! I equally love and despise the idea that you can’t tell what color it will actually be šŸ˜‰ (that’s just the OCD in me)

    • Once I realized that the splatters were just on top, I knew that the color would be different. I just didn’t realize how pretty they would be. I was expecting mud colors!

  • I kept scrolling and wondering, what are the colors going to turn out to be, probably a hot mess. So I was shocked to see they were actually pretty. I love when beauty products are fun to use like this palette.

    • I thought they’d be mud too. Whoever came up with this palette was on the ball!

  • erikatheicyone

Oh man. Those look kind of fantastic. I wonder if there is a F 21 in the Valley? I’ll be down there on the 22nd. šŸ˜€

My fave creme shadows are the Maybelline Colour Tattoos. They are so amazing. šŸ™‚

    • Yes, on the Tattoos! Did you know you can order online from Forever 21? Yep, you sure can.

      • erikatheicyone

I did not need to know that. LOL Thanks. šŸ˜€

  • Wow, they look really pretty in pan and swatched!

    • It was quite delightful to discover they were going to be pretty.

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

I really prefer cream shadows. Your review was really helpful because I would have thought these were all shimmer shadows, and I’m looking for some matte ones. This palette seemed to have both. And I would’ve thought they would not be long lasting but you got 5 hours from them and at Forever 21 prices that’s good enough for me. I’m heading to the mall!

    • I bet someone without oily lids would get a very nice wear from these creams. It was really easy to blend them too.

  • These look sooo fun!!!! I love the swatches!

    • I was prepared to be disappointed. Instead, I was delighted. šŸ™‚

What a fun palette. I’m so far from 21 that I never would have thought to walk into the store.

    • Marcia, I love their clothes but I either one, can’t find a size that would fit me or two, the styles are way too sexy for my style. However, I love looking at their makeup and jewelry.
