Freeman Beauty: Bare Foot Peppermint and Plum Foot Lotion

I took up running about four years ago when I over-strained my shoulder and had to lay off my regular workouts of weights and kickboxing. Me, a runner. I never would have guested! But, one thing that comes with running 3 to 4 times a week is calluses on the feet. Time to bring out the big guns…

I hadn’t really paid much attention that Freeman Beauty had foot lotions until I found a bunch of these envelope packages accidentally shelved with the Freeman face masks at a Walmart.

Since I love Freeman Beauty’s wide array of facial masks, it was a no-brainer for me to pick up a few of their Bare Foot lotions. And, I was intrigued by a peppermint & plum combination…

Also, it has tea tree oil in it that promises to soothe my tired feet…

And, of course, it’s loaded with lots of other good for the skin ingredients too…

Well, actually, they did with the cooling effect of the peppermint and tea tree oil. Did my calluses go away? No, however, the soles of my feet are softer and not dry or rough. That’s OK with me. Another thing that is OK with me is that Freeman Beauty doesn’t test on animals and, it’s made right here in the US…

I did a bit of detective work and found that Freeman Beauty Foot Lotions are merchandised at Walmart in the pharmacy area where they sell shoe inserts and other foot products. When I finish up the severalย packages I got of these foot lotions and, am ready to purchase a larger tube, I know where to look. Also, I am signed up with the Freeman Beauty website and get sales newsletters often for even better deals.

As far as the plum and peppermint fragrance, it wasn’t overly strong yet created a nice olfactory experience to add to my bedtime routine. I like using it as a last bit of pampering before turning in.

As a side note: My goal this year is to run 10 5K races. I have one down and my second one coming up March 22. These foot lotions are a nice way for me to give back to the hard work I’m putting my feet through.

  • This sounds good. I love a good foot lotion. The tea tree oil is also good for fighting bacteria and fungus, so I can see why it’s in this foot lotion.

    • *knock on wood* I haven’t had any of those issues but, you are so right.

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

This sounds great. Because of all the snow and a hamstring tear that won’t heal, I’ve been shoveling snow and snowshoeing instead of running this winter, but hopefully I’ll be back to jogging soon. I could definitely use this!

    • Ohhhh, ouchy!!!!! I’ve never been snowshoeing before but I understand that it’s a hard workout.

  • erikatheicyone

This sounds nice! It’s hard to find much selection, here. Small town hell. Stores don’t stock much. ๐Ÿ˜›

    • Even in a metro city like Denver, I’m getting to the point I’d rather online shop than get out on the roads. I’ve ordered online from Freeman’s before and am happy with their service.

  • I LOOOOVE their face masks – I will have to grab a few of these for my feet!

    • The price of about $4 makes it a ‘can do’ product. And, I see on their website they have lots of different foot lotions like they do with their masks.

  • I need something for my soles… I’ll check this out!

    • Because Freeman Beauty’s price is so inexpensive, I don’t mind slathering on a lot and letting it do its work overnight. In the old days, my heels would have snagged on my nylons. Now, with using this foot lotion, my skin is smooth.

  • BTBAshley

I need to hunt these down. Between pregnancy and this winter my feet are tore up!

    • Maybe buying a tube of this and asking for some Momma pampering is just what you need!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • marciaf

We all need a good foot cream. I’m impressed that you are running 5K races. I couldn’t run 5 blocks!

    • Marcia, I still struggle to run that 3.1 miles. It’s easier at the race because I’m so excited but, I can’t say the training is all fun.

  • cindyprimebeauty

Good for you for running a 5K!!

    • Thanks. I’m doing it for the medals. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • I love peppermint lotions for my feet – The Body Shop currently makes my fave, but I’d try this one. The scent combo sounds interesting!

    • That combo is what sparked my interest. At first, I thought it was a facial mask since they had been stocked with them. I was going to get it for that! Then I noticed it was for the footsies. I couldn’t resist!

  • Justina

I just started taking better care of my feet yesterday lol. I bought a foot file. This looks really nice!

  • Ahhh I wanna try! My feet need a makeover for spring sandals!

    • And, Freeman Beauty has a foot scrub to accompany this too. I used it up first before even photographing it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • FabZilla_Kath

I will be cheering for your 5K run!

    • Thanks, Kath! That means a lot to me!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • 10 races? Dang! You go girl!! You can do it ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I beat my own personal best with the race I did in January too. I was really surprised at that since Colorado has more hills than when I was racing in Florida.

  • Cosmetic Sanctuary

I’m a fan of these! And you go! Thats so awesome!

    • Thank you! I, also, like the breakfast burritos they serve after the race to the runners. You can say that’s my carrot at the end of the stick…LOL!

  • You are inspiring me to get my butt to the gym!

    • Now that’s a win! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • i need to go to the gym! you are an inspiration <3

    • Find one that has child care and you are in! ๐Ÿ™‚
