Mask Monday: Tony Moly Pomegranate Mask Sheet

This installment of Mask Monday is a sheet mask I picked up at Urban Outfitters. It’s got so many names and titles on it, I’ll just say it’s TonyMoly’s I’m Real Pomegranate Mask Sheet. This particular one is for elasticity…

This sheet mask is more expensive than the $1.00 Forever 21 masks but, cheaper than the Sephora one, at $6.00, I have all tried in past segments…

However, this one comes from Korea, same as the Forever 21 masks do. I peeled these labels off to see if there was anything under them. There wasn’t. Maybe it was added info after the packages were printed up…

Luckily, I’m not a newbie to sheet masks. The instructions are rather vague…

But here are the English directions as well as the ingredients…

The pomegranate ingredient is listed as ‘Pumica Granatum Fruit Extract’. How odd that they wouldn’t list it like they did the ‘Anise’ ingredient. Especially when they are naming this a Pomegranate mask. And again, the ingredient that they are advertising is way down the list of ingredients.

Anyway, this was a very juicy mask. And, the sheet was more delicate than others I have reviewed. I tore this just a little when I opened it up to put on…

There wasn’t any fragrance at all. I left the mask on for 25 minutes while I reflected on my day. OK, to be honest I played a game on my phone. Nevertheless, I was relaxing and letting the mask do its job…

Nothing to see here but the same old, creepy look sheet masks give. After 25 minutes, I removed the mask and massaged in the rest of the serum left behind. My skin felt plumper, as it usually does after using a sheet mask. I didn’t feel the need to follow-up with a moisturizer. I did, as this was right before bedtime and, I’m fussy about applying it. You may not feel the need to add a moisturizer.

Was it worth $3? I say so. My skin still felt soft the next morning. As for as elasticity, I think I would need to continually use a product to make any significant results for that. However, I did enjoy using this mask and feel confident I could recommend it for any skin type except those that would find exception in the ingredient list.

Do you shop for makeup and/or skincare at Urban Outfitters?

  • The only time I shop for beauty at UO seems to be when they have a clearance, but that hasn’t happened in a while! I’ve gotten to try some neat things that way, and I actually like their nail polish. I’ve wanted to try some Tony Moly stuff, and it’s finally making its way into some of the more mainstream US stores.

    • I wasn’t aware of Tony Moly until I purchased this so, you are ahead of me. I like their polish too. I just haven’t found anything new-ish or that strikes my fancy lately.

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

Yes, I do because I love Tony Moly and my Sephora doesn’t carry it. I love the apple serum/moisturizer and the peach hand cream!

    • I’ve never heard of Tony Moly before. I’ll have to give it all a look.

  • I love Tony Moly products I buy mine at Urban Outfitters hehe. I will try this, I am a sucker for all things masks πŸ™‚

    • If you can find this one, I bet you’ll love it.

  • I like that this one was so moisturizing for you.

    • Yes, it really was. I liked that.

  • marciaf

I love the name Tony Moly. I’ve never used the products but I would just for the name. It’s nice to see a $3 mask since most are a lot more money (other than the $1 ones you had).

    • True, Marcia. I picked up another one that I will be reviewing later.

  • I tried this one, and I agree, it’s quite lovely! I think I bought a backup, too, so I’ll wear it tonight if i can find it and we can be mask twinsies πŸ™‚

    • I’m glad you enjoyed it, as well. Twinsies, yes!

  • That mask sounds lovely. I like moisturizing treatments and Tony Moley gives good skin care.

    • I will have to look for more Tony Moly products. If they are as nice as this mask, I bet I will like others in the line.

  • I don’t have an Urban Outfitters near me but I wish I did!

    • I think UO closed a lot of their stores too. I can’t tell you if they have an online store.

  • I haven’t visited an Urban Outfitters in a few months. The mask sounds cool for $3

    • Maybe you’ll pick one up next time you pay a visit. πŸ™‚

  • This sounds great and at $3 it’s a steal!

    • I think $3 is more reasonable for a single-use mask.

  • FabZilla_Kath

Sounds like a steal to me!

    • I was excited to find more sheet masks. πŸ™‚

  • Those kinds of masks creep me out hahah!!!

    • I think I look extremely creepy wearing them. Like right out of a horror movie.

  • Good ol Korean directions- I see this on many of my masks haha

    • I do too. I find them to be the most interesting to try out. I still have a bunch more.

  • $3?! Thats a steal!

  • Lisa Marie Heath

I really need to check some of these masks out! For $3 its worth trying

depending on where you live there may be a tony moly store, they’re only like $1.19 in the actual store. I personally love the avocado and aloe ones as well
