Nabi Cosmetics: Fun Glitter Top Coats

There is a store called ‘Rainbow’ in one of the malls that I visit clients. ‘Rainbow’ is what I would call a ‘hoochy’ store. They sell ‘hoochy’ clothes. Way sexy and way too tight. Even their XXL clothes wouldn’t fit my size 12 behind. But, I do venture in just to see what I can see. And this is what I did see…

These are just a few of the polishes I saw by Nabi. The name sounds familiar but I just don’t know why. I checked out their website but nothing struck a chord. The three polishes I picked were the most unusual and ones that I don’t have anything like in my stash. And the price was 3 for $5.

Here’s ‘Lilac Jumbo Glitter’…

All of these will be top coats, no doubt. And even though these seem to have separated in the bottle, I think I’ll still like them. Of course, that will be an upcoming post.

I couldn’t resist the hairy, micro and hex glitter! And since the glitter is iridescent, I think it will jazz up nails nicely. The large hex glitter looks to be strong gold and green iridescent shades. Should be fun to see what it will do.

This is ‘Purple Jumbo Glitter’…

Are you sort of seeing a name trend here? Well, when I saw these and then photographed them, I thought of all the franken-making polish makers out there. I don’t even know where to start with doing a franken, but I can’t help to think that these might play a part in it. ‘Purple Jumbo Glitter’ is a purple glitter bomb. I see fuchsia hex glitter and iridescent mico glitter. Yet I see that glitter that looks like embers too. This is one busy glitter! I think I’m going to have to play with it this weekend.

How about a black glitter?…

‘New Black Glitter’ has me worried. I don’t know how this is going to translate onto the nail. The black-ish base will not work with a lot of colors. Nope to pinks and any light shades. But it could kick up some smoky, dark cremes. With the fuchsia pink glitter, iridescent bar glitter and lots and lots of micro glitter that I can’t quite tell what color it is, this is a busy glitter polish.

The investment was small. They were too pretty to not add to my collection. But, uuuueeee-weeee! These STINK!!! There is not one thing ‘T3-Free’ about these polishes. Even if you are just mildly sensitive to smells, I’m going to advise you to skip these. That is, unless you have some sort of scuba gear to breathe with.

Have you seen these before? What do you think about the colors? Would you be game to spend a few dollars to try them out?
