Anastasia Beverly Hills: Bold And Beautiful Kit

Well, hello there! Not one to do things in a small way, I have moved from Florida to Denver. Can you say ‘change in climate’? Can you say ‘skin changes!?’ More to come on that experience.

Anastasia Beverly Hills has been giving us a lot of new products. How about that Hypercolor Brow and Hair Powder?!!! I’ll be doing a review on that fun product very soon.

But today, I have a classy kit from Anastasia to show you called Bold and Beautiful. If you like neutral shades yet enjoy the flexibility of going from a soft look on up to something bold, you are going to love this eyeshadow palette. And, if you are looking to create a chic brow, Anastasia has that covered too.

As always, Anastasia Beverly Hills delivers a very beautiful package…

anastasia kit 012 anastasia kit 026 anastasia kit 025Packaged together like a two volume set, the brow palette and the shadow palette create a sophisticated look. Along with a fold out that guides you to create stellar, right now looks…

anastasia kit 020 anastasia kit 021 The brow palette is simple but Anastasia, as the leading authority of brows, keeps it easy to groom them…

anastasia kit 030The first color is a waxy brown with a powder color next to it. And the precision tweezers, along with the dual-end brow brush and separator, mean you don’t have to go out with unruly brows.

Even though the two shades in the palette look different, they swatch very similar…

anastasia kit 094I used both on my brows and the color works perfectly for me…

anastasia kit 107The shadow palette is just as sleek and streamlined as the brow palette. These shades easily mix and match…

anastasia kit 072 anastasia kit 051 anastasia kit 047 anastasia kit 048These shades are powdery smooth. I used the provided brush, which does have two different types of bristles on each end. The palette got a bit of fall out when I loaded my brush but ,I didn’t get any on my face when I applied it.

Here are swatches of the eye shadows…

anastasia kit 084I used a light touch to swatch but, as you can imagine, these shades can build to make a stronger, bolder look. I kept it simple and neutral using them all…

anastasia kit 110Next, I finished the look with an Ulta brown eyeliner pencil and Milani’s Runway Lashes mascara…

anastasia kit 112 anastasia kit 118 anastasia kit 114In comparison to other high-end palettes, Anastasia Beverly Hills keeps her prices reasonable…

anastasia kit 037For $36, the Bold and Beautiful Kit gives you a large variety of looks for an affordable price. This is the type of product I like to use when I need to have a neutral look, whether I’m meeting a client or just running errands for the day. Both palettes are not complicated yet, give me the tools necessary to make a bold and beautiful look.

Anastasia Beverly Hills: Kisses On My List Lip Gloss Set

Makeup products from Anastasia Beverly Hills are gorgeous and up-scale. Super nice! I would be delighted to get any of their products as a gift. The Holiday 2012 ‘Kisses On My List’ set of 6 glosses would be wonderful to receive. And, to give too, because the set is only $30!…From Anastasia’s press release…

“The Kisses on My List gloss set features six high-shine glosses in matte and shimmer shades that wear all-day.  With three softly sheer, opalescent glosses, and three new Hypercolor Glosses that actually stain your lips…don’t be standing too close to the mistletoe if you don’t want to be kissed!  Each gloss is named after famous 70’s muses you won’t soon forget.  Lola, Maggie May, Sharona, Roxanne, Jolene, and Moi are sure to inspire your loved one to write a song about you! The Kisses on My List gloss set retails for $30 ($108 value) and is available at Sephora and Anastasia.net.”

This set of glosses is everything you’d like about a gloss. They truly are glossy.  I found myself admiring my smackers because they looked so delicious. Without a tacky feel, the color stayed put. My lips felt hydrated longer than with most glosses.

As with other Anastasia glosses, the applicator is paddle-shaped…

It did take me a bit to get used to this type of applicator.  When I apply it, I use a mirror, however. The paddle tends to pool lines along my lips that I work to smooth down. I think it will work for anyone, though.

‘Moi’ is a great neutral shade with a fab gloss shine.

If you were around in the late ’70’s, you’ll remember when Rod Stewart started off with ‘Maggie May’. She’s a demure, soft pink creme.

Every time you hear ‘My Sharona’ you’ll have to think about me breaking out into skipping. LOL When I want my lips to make my guy skip, I’ll put on ‘Sharona’.

‘Lola’ is a favorite for me.

Not a favorite song, but ‘Roxanne’ looks truly hot on my lips.

‘Jolene’ steals boyfriends when you wear this pink with gold and silver sparkles gloss. This color suits me, quite well. What do you think?…

From the left: Moi (creme), Maggie May (creme), Sharona, Lola, Roxanne, Jolene.

Wow! I’m going to have the best-dressed lips of the season thanks to Anastasia Beverly Hills. ‘Kisses On My List’ is named perfectly…..Kisses, Plural!

You are set for the entire year with ‘Kisses On My List’ gloss collection.

Anastasia Bevery Hills: Want You To Want Me Holiday Eye Palette

(Photo heavy because this rocks!!)

Anastasia Beverly Hills brings back the best of the ’70’s with their 2012 Holiday collection. I’ll show you a ton of cool photos, while this is part of Anastasia’s press release…

“The Want You to Want Me deluxe packaging includes a removable mirrored palette inside a 70’s inspired mirrored clutch and is following in the footsteps of Anastasia’s sold out 2011 holiday palette All Eye Want.  This gorgeous kit comes with a mini version of Anastasia’s bestselling Clear Brow Gel, as well as a new Jet Black Liquid Eyeliner to create perfect stunner looks.  70’s glam is on high display with the nine featured matte and pearlized nude and plum shadows that include Platform Wedge, Front Row Center, Ziggy, Members Only, Power Ballad, Jellies, Graphic T’s, Brass in Pocket and Iron On.”

The packaging is sassy and bold. And the glosses, I’ll be posting about them next!!

I saw the LP and thought ‘Oh, no! I don’t have a record player!’ But it wasn’t real. LOL!

When the song ‘Sharona’ comes up on my playlist, while running, I can’t help but start to skip and swing my arms. So what if it looks odd; it feels FUN!!!

OK, you can see that I’m totally in love with Anastasia’s packaging. But, let’s get to the palette…

Along with the shadow palette is a marvelous black eyeliner…

And, a clear brow gel to get those brow hairs in order..

These are some of the creamiest, softest shadows. The quality is there!!!

This is the top row…

And the middle row…

The bottom row…

I used a swab to swatch these and I didn’t use any primer. It’s easy to see that these shadows all work together and the colors are magnificent. You can go from a soft rock look to a heavy punk look with just this palette.

I did an everyday at the Vanity look…

I used the top row shades and then very last one from the bottom. I, also, used the black eyeliner, the brow gel and I used Laura Mercier’s Full Blown Mascara in Black.

Are you ready for some Holiday Cheer well before the Holiday season? This entire palette is $34!! That beats the heck out of other high-end Winter palette prices.

Sephora is the store that will have this in store for you. And, if you are looking to give a gift that will knock socks off, this is it!

Is this not a fun set?! I love almost every one of those songs. How about you?

Anastasia Beverly Hills: She Wears It Well Eye Shadow Palette

As a beauty blogger, not only do I get to read ‘real’ opinions on products, but I also get to find out more on brands that I hadn’t tried before. Case in point, Anastasia Beverly Hills. I knew Anastasia was the eyebrow queen. She has been raved about by Oprah to Selena Gomez, on perfecting an A-list of celebrities. That’s quite an age range for a brand to be so popular.

And with this popularity, Anastasia is creating more and more gotta-have products. The new ‘She Wears It Well’ eye shadow palette is the upcoming addition to her classy product line…

This palette will surely get you gussied-up, retro Hollywood style. Doesn’t the packaging look nicely high-brow? And the palette itself; truly Beverly Hills…

The magnetic snap down top is foil embossed on a faux-croc case. This elegance preps you for what you’ll see inside…

The pallete comes with five how-to cards on classic Hollywood looks…

With these cards to inspire you, you’ll have no problems creating dreamy starlet looks…

There are niine total shadows to create a retro to modern look of chic. 3 matte shadows and 6 shimmers are all you need to replicate Hollywood Glamour or a current catwalk style. And not just an add-on, the palette’s brush has a flat, rounded brush and very useable tapered brush on the other end. Whether you use your own brushes or the one contained in the palette, you will find that these shadows are extremely soft, highly-pigmented, able to be worn dry or wet.

The shadows blend together like a Rogers and Astaire dance routine. Every single one applies creamy and stays put like an all-day classic movie marathon…

Going across the top of the palette: Trophy, Glow, Frosting, Onyx. I love using Frosting as an all-over lid base.

I swatched the middle shadow, Sunset, horizontally above the other swatches. You can barely see it as it is almost the same shade as my skin. However, the shimmer makes it a bit more sassy. Going across the bottom row of the palette: Latte, Foxy, Almond, Toffee. And Almond is my favorite shade to use as a highlight on my brow bone.

The neutral tones of ‘She Wears It Well’ will suit anyone that wants to create a wash of subtle shades of today, to wearing the shadows foiled for the dramatic look of glamour and sultry style right out of the Golden Era of Hollywood.

With a price point of $34, the ‘She Wears It Well’ palette can put glamour and Hollywood sophistication on your vanity while giving you the tools to create your own classic Beverly Hills chic look.

You can find Anastasia Beverly Hills products at Ulta, Sephora, fine departments stores and on their website.
