Do you know what an eyeshadow primer is? It is a product that you apply to your eyelids in hopes that when you apply an eyeshadow that it will stay put, not crease or fade…until you take it off. These are from love & beauty, Forever 21′s brand. Since these cost next to nothing, like $3, I got the only two shades they had available…
A metallic silver named ‘Light Grey’ and a shimmery taupe named ‘Champagne’. These are two shades that I find classy. And, gosh, the shimmer they have!…
So, I put them to the test right away. I used ‘Light Grey’ all over my eyelid and used an eyeliner pencil along with mascara. I got creasing in about 3 hours. I tried ‘Champagne’ and it lasted just a bit past 4 hours.
It defeats the purpose, but I applied Ofra’s Shadow Primer and then used ‘Light Grey’ over that. I did manage to get about 4-4.5 hours this time. As much as I love the idea of splicing shadow with primer, I’m still looking for one that truly performs. I swatched the shades and you can see that they are quite pigmented and shimmery…
I want to continue to experiment with these two love & beauty shadow + primers. I may not be able to use them as suggested, however, I like the way they look on me.
